One of my favorite designers is Saul Bass. A genius. When coming up with art concepts for the LA Weekly Theater Awards, I found myself continually drawn to Bass's poster work because it lent itself well to the theme of the awards show, mystery and suspense. I paid homage to Bass by using ideas from his poster for The Man With the Golden Arm
